Born and raised in upstate, New York, became visually influenced at an early age.  Her grandfather was a painter and father an architect. She grew to become familiar with concepts of art and spacial design.

In 2001 she pursued a career in art and started her BFA at, Pratt MWP College of Art and Design.  Then moved to, Brooklyn N.Y. in 2003, to continue and finish her education at Pratt.  During her studies, she had taken an interest in visually setting the mood and tone of interior spaces, especially in social environments. Soon after Pratt, she would seek a position in the service industry, that offered an opportunity to curate monthly art shows while learning restaurant and bar management. After gaining experience in both art curation, event decorating/coordinating and bar management, she partnered with two other creatives to design and build, The Emerson.  A bar, lounge and art gallery, that is frequented by Pratt Students and working artist's in the neighborhood.

Statement

I make art that is inspired by moods brought on in relationship to cycles in nature, such as moon phases and transition of seasons. Often using a combination of materials, to create a visual that shows rhythm, or pattern's seen in landscape's and architecture.

Choice of color, medium, imagery and title, are used as symbolism for specific times, places and emotional states.

Deeper concepts within the art are formed during the process of creation, when unintentional decisions meld with subconscious expression.  In this way, the art holds a balance between purposeful and organic, that is a true essence of the work.
